Leaving LA & Disneyland

Oh my, it has been a busy, busy time, so much fun and excitement.....LaRee and I have spent alot of time with Snowwhite, Belle and today Hanna Montana....
Today if I sit for any length of time I am sure sleep would overcome me.....I do believe Kendra is feeling the nap bug too.

It has been wonderful and now for the trip home...if we come to another wireless station we will let you all know how the trip is going.

Sorry about not being able to update frequently but we were misinformed by the motel re the wireless service.

Ta for now and talk soon......Joy...Nana...Mom...and then just me.

Belle of the Ball

Today was a busy one and exhausting, but what fun we all had.

We spent the morning at Disneyland, how exciting it all was! I don't think we will have near enough time. :( We came back to the hotel for lunch in our room, dip in the pool and log on to school. The last was the hardest of them all, but I am now online (probably only at night from now on).

We took a trolly ride and a ride in one of Walt Disneys' car's. But I think the best thing was.....

autograph's and dancing with Belle......

Then finally the maypole, just like Kendra's skating carnival. Only this time she was right besdie ( or behind) Belle.
What a day! We are all heading to bed, I think we are still coping from the drive. Tomorrow we are heading to Universal Studios and the we will hang out at the pool tomorrow night.
Oh I forgot, I couldn't get a picture, because of her birthday suit, but Kendra made dinner. Mom had gone to a store and got some microwave potatoes and gravy. It was not that bad, not something I would want everday but in a pinch quite good.
We will update sometime tomorrow.
LaRee

We are here.

Well, we made it last night at 6pm.

I will update more later, we are having fun finding internet access.

I have to take Kendra back to the park so I will be back and download some pictures later.

Kendra, LaRee & Joy.

Tomorrow we travel

Well, it is finally here, after years of saving, we are now heading to Disneyland. The truck is packed, the pets are taken care of (three different homes) and both mine and Kendra's homework is packed. Just waiting for a call for the house, hopefully tomorrow at noon, that is the deadline but there was a long weekend. I am not going to sweat it until wednesday night.

As I said before though God is doing everything in his time. Over the past few days he showed this even more. Yesterday, after packing, we were doing the afternoon "river watch" and I noticed that some friends of mine are selling their van. I stopped and told them that I will call as soon as I here about the house and I will take it if it is still there.

Then today at 10am, I was doing homework and my dad calls to tell me that the man to refinish my tub is in town could he come today instead of wednesday? Well, this was one of the subjects to be removed tomorrow by noon, I informed the lady it would be wednesday, but no God had his plan. At 12:01 Jim left my house and said he hopes the tub will do fine, but please don't use it for 24 hours.

So, with God working at his time, I know now that I will get the phone call tomorrow by noon and we will be happily on our way.

Oh yeah, and Kendra went on her first plane ride this weekend. Her dad took her on a water plane from Vancouver to Nanaimo for her Grandparents Anniversary ( I believe it is 40 years)
There was a mini family reunion so what a long weekend for her.

Off to bed now as I no for me it will be a fairly sleepless night, I never sleep when I am excited. Have to sleep for the first leg of the trip so I can do the night driving. Our hopes are to pull into Anaheim by 4pm.

I will update you then with some pictures of the trip down. Dad's truck has been totally overhauled so we don't expect any troubles. Cell phones, MP3 player and DS are all fully charger, so everyone can listen to different music.

So much to do.

Well, we picked up our tickets. It is so exciting to be looking at a piece of paper, not actually a ticket. This is the first actual "vacation" we have been on since before Kendra was born. Although, I have been on business trips, not that I don't enjoy those. Actually, thinking of vacations, I have been treating a lot of days lately like a vacation. God has provided so much that even when we go to skating we have been excitied about it.
I am trying to (kinda) map out our days. As we are driving, a couple of the 10 will disappear.

In the next 4....I repeat 4....days I have to:
-make sure the appraisal is complete, subjects to be removed by noon tuesday
-pack- for 2, all Kendra has on her list is 6 panties, 2 braws, mommies mp3, bateries ( her priorities are set)
-arrange animal care
-homework - check
- switch vehicles
-get flyers ( might as well work on this trip)
-try to sleep
-oh and if I have time try to start to pack and clean my house
-take Pitch to obedience training Sat. morning
-Dad's birthay
-2 assignments for my school
- get my legs waxed-ouch-

I am so glad that all this is moving on God's time ( as he keeps showing me to slow down and listen) I have become fasinated over the past few days at what I can hear when I do listen. How bright he is!

I guess I better get away from this computer and get my list completed. I have been taking Sundays off, for the past 3 weeks so I really only have 3 days.

Updated to follow...till then have a GREAT Holiday Weekend!

Finally got it!

Well, today a lot has happened. I have a lot of people to thank for all of your prayers and blessings. God, answered many prayers today and, man, does he work in his time frame, or what? Well, I have had two good nights of sleep and lots of praying for my house to sell, and for a vehicle so we can go on our trip.
Yesterday morning during bible study, around the time when a prayer request for my house to sell "quickly but in God's timing", I received a message on my cell phone from a lady wanting my house.
2PM she offered me above my original asking price, when I accepted she THEN looked at the house. The whole while I am thanking God in my head. She shooke my hand and went and made an appointment for the notary the next day. Again on my knees, I asked God if this was meant to be he will make these people not back out. 5:45pm, as I was taking off Kendra's skates and received another phone call....Oh, oh! She wants to come through the house again and sign the papers I have, we have a 12:30 appointment for tomorrow. Now, I am trying not to get excited, but I believe God will let my house sell, in his time.
8PM we are filling out papers. This lady is telling me how she saw my house in a dream for weeks.
Today, 8am, I got a hold of the appraiser and he is coming to Hope...TOMORROW! I have to mow my hay feild! It's ok, I can do it, God is lining everything up. 8:30am no go, because of the zoning. I get my taxes and find that it is C2/residential, it's a go. 9am, we are back at the house, awaiting a tree topper. She is so excited, we start talking about her plans, then move to Jesus and how he is our saviour.
10 am, the tree topper comes by, as she is talking to him, I notice a landscaper go by. He couldn't come until next week, he kept driving, around the block and back again. My breathe was taken away. Thank-you, Lord. I am stunned by the speed in which he is lining everything up.
12:30 we sign papers in the notary office.
What a day, then I was reading other blogs, which I have been trying to respond to for months. What a great end to an exciting day! I respond and even learned how to POST.

Oh, I forgot to mention my dad will lend me his truck to go to Disneyland, as mom's car is not even back in Hope yet to be repaired.

What a wonderful God we have, he has put everything together, in his time.
